Domain Set up and Pricing (GoDaddy/WordPress.com)

  Hello,

  I currently have a domain through GoDaddy and have a website through SquareSpace. I am looking to transfer website hosting to WordPress.com. I am considering the $2.99 Personal subscription. Can I switch to hosting the domain through WordPress in the $2.99 Personal subscription or is there an additional fee? Do I need to renew it through GoDaddy, select the free subscription, and pay a fee to connect it to WordPress?

  I am looking for the least expensive option.

  A WordPress.com plan would be required for this because the option to only map a domain name is no longer an option. Each upgrade plan comes with a domain credit, which allows you to either map a domain you already own or purchase a new one. If you are using the domain you already have, you would need to renew it through GoDaddy as WordPress.com does not currently accept domain name transfers.

  You would be able to do this through the personal plan with no additional fee.
