Domain Settings
-
I have an non WP custom domain. I also have a website with this domain but they do not have a blog feature (tinas2cents.com). So I created a blog page (“on my website) with an RSS feed widget to my WP account.
What I want: when people click on the blog link from my RSS feed to the WP site. I do not want them to see the WP URL. I want them to see my custom domain name.
Problem when I set up the custom URL feature in WP it simply redirected people back to my external website. I DO NOT want to REDIRECT. I simply want to show my custom url in place of the WP address. How can I accomplish this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there! From your description, it sounds as if you need to create a subdomain on tinas2cents.com, and map to your WordPress.com blog. Your blog address would then appear as (something like): blog.tinas2cents.com .
If this sounds good to you, you can follow these instructions:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-subdomain/You currently have your blog at: http://www.tinas2cents.com/blog.html — the problem with this is that you cannot map a WordPress.com blog to a subdirectory (that’s what /blog is). This is why you’re having trouble with being sent to your external website, rather than your /blog page.
I hope this clears up the problem, and gives you a solution that works for you. Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks much!
