Domain Setup

  Hello,
  I have a couple of questions regarding my current domain setup. I recently decided to upgrade my business website and have chosen to use WordPress as its new home. I have created the new website using wordpress. I would like to change its current domain name from x.wordpress.com to the domain name that I currently own. I cannot add this domain under settings as it says that I someone already owns it (me) and I was wondering how I would go about transferring my currently owned domain name to the new website that I made.

  @tethysresearch2: Can you reply with the domain you’re trying to map to your WordPress.com site?

  You can follow the steps on this page to map your existing domain.

  Also, what’s the exact error you’re seeing when you try to add the domain in Store -> Domains?

  The error I get is “Someone (maybe you?) already registered tethysresearch.com, but the domain is not pointing to WordPress.com.” I own this domain name and want to move it over to the wordpress site. Any ideas on how to do this?
