Domain Status
-
Hi,
My domain just expired as I was attending to a medical condition. I was thinking if I could just revert my blog http://consumerlive.me to its FREE status, as in, http://consumerlive.wordpress.com.
Hoping to hear from you soon.
Thanks,
Jess Domingo

When a domain expires, it then goes through a process that can take several months to complete described at https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/domain-expiration/.
If you are in the grace period you will not have to agree to pay a redemption fee set by the domain name registrar that wordpress.COM staff cannot waive.
Otherwise, if you want Staff to try to recover the domain for you then you will have to agree to pay the redemption fee.
If you’re logged into the account that is associated with your expired domain, they will look up its status and get in touch with details.
If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into the associated account, and provide the domain URL here.

Hi Jess,
consumerlive.me expired a couple of days ago and is currently owned by another user of the site. If you would like to keep the domain, please ask leadersbowl to login and renew from their Manage Purchases page in their account.
If you no longer need to domain it can be cancelled. However, we only recommend doing so if you are sure you won’t need it again in the future as there is no guarantee you will be able to get it back again. Without a custom domain, your site will revert back to its free WordPress.com address, consumerlive.wordpress.com.
Please let me know if you need any help.

Thanks guys. Guess I’ll just revert back to its free wordpress address of consumerlive.wordpress.com. I just noticed one thing, how come the screen just kept saying consumerlive.me has expired when I’m typing the free address. I was hoping to continue posting actually but the site or login doesn’t appear.
Hope to hear from you then. Thanks again.

Hi Jess,

You won’t need to revert back to your free WordPress.com address if leadersbowl renews the domain :)
how come the screen just kept saying consumerlive.me has expired when I’m typing the free address.
That’s because consumerlive.me is currently set as the primary domain — which means your free WordPress.com address will automatically forward to this domain. You can set consumerlive.wordpress.com back to primary domain using these steps:
If you click consumerlive.wordpress.com on the Domains page, you will see the option to make that the primary domain instead.

I think I forgot the email address of leadersbowl when I took a hiatus, that’s why I wasn’t able to continue posting in that site as I also got immersed in consumerlive.
:) Would you happen to know leadersbowl email address? Coz I’d probably know the password then.
Thanks.

Hi consumer101blog,
Would you happen to know leadersbowl email address? Coz I’d probably know the password then.
For security reasons, I can’t share the email address with you. I’ve sent an email to the address we have on file for the owner of that account. I can’t give you any hints as to which email address that is so please check all of your accounts.
If you don’t receive the email, please fill out the Account Recovery form:
You can specify a username on the form if you can’t remember what the email address is.
Thanks!
