domain still mapped to deleted blog

  I have a domain registered with 123 reg which is set to use WordPress.com nameservers. I accidentally created a new blog and mapped this domain to it when what I wanted to do was map this domain to my existing blog.

  I’ve now deleted the new, unwanted blog but I’m still unable to map the domain to my remaining blog.. Any idea how I can get the domain ‘nikkilashes.co.uk’ mapped to my blog (hairandlashextensionist.com)?

  I took a look at http://nikkiatkins.co.uk/ and it appears as if all is working well. It is currently mapped to your WordPress.com site: http://hairandlashextensionist.wordpress.com/.

  Hi, thanks for your reply!
  I need to map another domain hich is nikkilashes.co.uk.
  I originally had this mapped to another blog by mistake. I’ve now deleted that blog but when I try to map nikkilashes.co.uk to my blog (that is currently showing on nikkiatkins.co.uk), it says that the domain is already mapped to another blog..

  Any idea how I can get nikkialashes.co.uk mapped?

  Hello again!

  I see, thank you for explaining that further.

  I’ve detached nikkilashes.co.uk from your deleted WordPress.com blog. You should now be able to map it to whatever site you’d like.

  https://hairandlashextensionist.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

  Select “Map a Domain You Already Own” and follow those instructions.

  Yes that is the blog that I want nikkilashes.co.uk mapped to.

  Hey there!

  I see the trouble, I think. You had deleted nikkilashes.wordpress.com. Because of that, the domain mapping didn’t “detach” as it would from a live site.

  Could you give the mapping another try please, and let me know how it works for you? Thanks!
