Domain still registered despite cancellation

    I am trying to register my domain with another website. I accidentally registered with wordpress when I already purchased the domain elsewhere. This in effect cancelled the registration with the other site.

    i cancelled the registration with wordpress but it seems I still cannot purchase the domain.

    Any help would be appreciated.
