Domain still resolving to WordPress.com after plan cancellation
-
I previously connected my custom domain sigmaluna.com to a WordPress.com plan. I have since:
- Cancelled the WordPress.com plan
- Removed the domain from my WordPress account
- Changed the nameservers to my new hosting provider (Neoserv)
- Verified that DNS A records correctly point to my new server IP (152.89.235.130)
However, when accessing the domain, it still resolves to WordPress infrastructure and shows the message:
“It looks like it doesn’t have an active domain connection.”
DNS checks confirm that:
- Nameservers are no longer WordPress
- A record points to my new hosting provider
This suggests the domain may still be internally associated or reserved within WordPress.com’s domain mapping system.
Could you please:
- Fully remove any remaining domain mapping or internal association for sigmaluna.com
- Release the domain completely from WordPress infrastructure
Thank you for your assistance.

Your site is showing fine for me. I also can conirm that site is no longer on the wordpress.com platform – https://wordpress.com/site-profiler/https://sigmaluna.com
You must clear your browser cache and also your browser dns cache.
