Domain Story…
-
Ok. I first had my blog at WordPress.com, bought a domain from here (cpfanpop.com) and then transferred my blog to WordPress.org (host was free hostinger) Soon, my CPU limit was exceeded. So I wish to transfer back to wordpress.com. I then edited the nameservers and pointed my domain to wordpress.com, but I’ve been waiting for hours and it wasn’t done. I then tried deleting my hosting account from hsotinger. Done, now I see a 404 page error when I visit my site. What do I do? Please help me, my site was VERY poplar, I don’t wanna lose my domain and old fans. :(
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
It looks like everything is OK! When I go to cpfanpop.com, it takes me to your site hosted here (clubpenguindaily.com). If you’re still pulling up your old site, you may be having some problems with some DNS caching. Let me know if you are and we can run through some options!

And yes! My email server ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) Doesn’t work. What do I do?

So emails sent to the support@ email address isn’t getting forwarded to your normal email address? And you have checked your spam folder as well as your social media folder (emails can sometimes get routed there from WordPress.com).

That is strange. Did you remove the support@ email address? I went to create a test email address and there is now no email address set up.
It may be that the forwarder got cleared somehow even though the record was still showing in the Dashboard, which would explain why no emails were coming through. Go ahead and try setting it up again (I would, but I’m not sure what email address you want it going to) and then give it a test. Make sure when you test it you use a different email address and you don’t use words like “test” as both of those can result in the message getting blocked at the firewall level for spam.

One last question – I wanna try getting back to WordPress.org. Do you know a free host which can handle millions of pageviews and has lot of bandwidth, CPU space, storage, etc.?
-
I’m afraid that I do not. To handle millions of pageviews and large amounts of bandwidth, CPU, and storage you are not even going to be able to go with a budget hosting company. You’ll likely need to get a relatively high-end server or cloud structure. Free or even cheap webservers just aren’t designed for that kind of traffic.

:| Now I know why my site which has over 2 million pageviews (1000 in a day) was uncontrollable..
