Domain – Support
-
Hi there,
i am desperately getting crazy – with my move from Jimdo to WordPress.
I have a Jimdo website with my owned domain dorisworld.at. I opened a new wordpress blog – called honigwolke.wordpress.com and switched the whole content to this blog. Additionally i wanna switch the domain from honigwolke.wordpress.com to dorisworld.at.
That means every time a user is calling dorisworld.at – he/she should reach the honigwolke.wordpress.com site.
In my domain entry at (nic.at) i changed the nameserver to wordpress yesterday. But still the honigwolke.wordpress.com site is linking to dorisworld.at thats the wrong way.
I have no clue more what should i do?!?! I have read almost all about domain switch from WordPress and jimdo.
I also wrote jimdo but the are not answering – poor support – thats also because i changed to wordpress.
Help me please. Thanks
DorisThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Doris!
There’s just one more step for you to get your site viewable at dorisworld.at, and that’s to set it as the Primary Domain. To do this, head to My Domains in WordPress.com:
https://wordpress.com/my-domains/From here, check the Primary box next to dorisworld.at and then Update Primary Domain.
Let me know how you get on with that or if you have any extra questions.

Hi there, thanks a lot for answering.
I have already uptdate the primary domain serveral times but every time i put the primary domain dorisworld.at – it is not working. dorisworld links everytime to doris-prohaska.jimdo.com and not to my blog honigwolken.wordpress.com
What can i do more or where is the problem? Thanks a lot. Doris

Hi there, me again.
So now the blog entries are working with the domain dorisworld.at (eg http://dorisworld.at/2015/03/29/wie-du-jeruzalem-in-europa-entdeckst-eine-bezaubernde-weinregion-in-slowenien)
but the main domain or let me say the start page (dorisworld.at) links again to doris-prohaska.jimdo.com.
Any ideas why? Thanks a lot! Doris

Hi Doris.
I think there’s some propagation issues going on.
It can take some time for new information about a domain to propagate throughout the web. Unfortunately, we have no control over this as it all depends on how often your internet service provider updates their records. Please rest assured that everything is proceeding normally. :)
Clearing your browser’s cache and cookies may help speed up the process and stop the redirection happening for you:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookiesIf that doesn’t work, try clearing your local DNS cache:
http://www.opendns.com/support/article/68Please let me know if you’re still having trouble viewing your site after a day or so, or if have any more questions or concerns. I’ll be happy to help further.
