    My website, naturallysimplesolutions.me is showing a wordpress error message. My website is hosted with BlueHost. Can you help me get this figured out.

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    I’m sorry, but naturallysimplesolutions.me is not hosted at WordPress.com. As such, we are unable to provide any direct assistance in this manner.

    The fact that the site may have been built using WordPress, or may mention ‘Powered by WordPress’ (or something similar) simply means it is using the WordPress.org software, which can be downloaded and installed on any web host.

    I would recommend getting in touch with Bluehost for support, or checking out these resources if your site was indeed built with WordPress software:

    staff-doublebassd – Apparently this refers to an expired domain which was registered through WildWestDomains. Please see this post: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/domain-expired-172?replies=1#post-2789624

    Thanks, @justjennifer, for linking the other thread. I don’t know why that one was closed while it contains more information than this one.

    @naturallysimplesolutions, your domain is currently in Redemption with our registrar. It should still be possible to get it back at this point, but they charge us $80 to restore a domain from redemption, so I’ll need you to agree to that fee before I can get the process started.

  • I’ve just sent you a link you can use to pay for the renewal. I’ll be notified once you do and then I can contact our registrar to recover the domain. If the recovery fails you will be refunded in full.

    As you’ve deleted the site the domain was originally attached to, I’ll need you to please create a new free site. The address of the site does not matter. We just need one to connect to the domain so you can access the Domains screen on My Sites to make changes to the domain. You can create a new free site here:

  • Thank you. I’ve emailed our registrar to restore the domain. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from them.

  • I’ve heard back from our registrar. It appears that between me writing to them and them answering your domain was deleted and released. This means you can now again register it at any domain registrar as a new domain, which means no late fee.

    I’ve gone ahead and refunded your redemption payment of yesterday. You should receive it in a few days. I’m still waiting on the refund for the domain renewal to be processed. I’ll let you know when that’s complete.

    As your site is hosted with Bluehost, I suggest you try registering the domain directly with them now. That way you’ll have everything in one place. You’re also welcome to register the domain here again if you prefer :)

  • Oh dear! It looks like I made a typo. The domain I tried to get back for you is naturallysimplesolution.me, not naturallysimplesolutions.me. I’ve emailed our registrar to correct the mistake and get your domain back for you.

    As this was my mistake you won’t need to pay the redemption fee we’ve refunded again.

  • Your domain has been restored, and I’ve pointed it back at Bluehost. It should be working again in a few hours. Please let me know if it’s still down the next time you check it.
