Domain suspended for spam and abuse?

    Hi guys,

    New at wordpress and creating websites in general.

    So i bought a domain with 1and1, and linked it with my wordpress.com account. Its called redwhiterocket.com

    Then i discovered that i need wordpress.org for plugins, and 1and1 has a web application for wordpress; so i unlinked my domain with my wordpress.com account.

    Now for some reason i lost my domain.

    Its hosted by wildwestdomains.com, and 1and1 has lost it to them (not sure im describing it right).

    But according to who is, the domain is suspended for spam and abuse….

    Why is it suspended? Id like to use it but with wordpress.org…

    I’ll tag this thread for Staff assistance with sorting this out. Another Volunteer may answer prior to Staff but I tagged the thread so it will not fall through the cracks and escape attention.     Did you buy hosting at 1 & 1 and told them you were using redwhiterocket.com as your domain name?

    Did you cancel the registration for redwhiterocket.com?

    If you canceled the registration inside the 48 hour time, I think that Wild West sets the name servers to “suspended………abuse” while the registration is unwound

    PS – if you bought the hosting from 1 & 1 with redwhiterocket.com – they would have done the equivalent of domain mapping but what they did is a bit different – and it might have seemed to you that 1 & 1 registered the domain, in reality redwhiterocket.com was actually still registered with Wild West

    If my thoughts are correct – then the staff might be able to recover your domain name so it can be set up correctly and used with your 1 & 1 site

    I hope so too.. I reached out to 1and1 and they said to reach out to WildWestDomains.

    Then WWD are telling me to reach out to WordPress..

    Ill forward the link to this thread to WWD and 1and1.

    You need to work with WordPress.COM on the domain name – @TT has flagged this for the staff to help
