I missed the two emails from WP about verifying my email address when my domain was renewed (they were bundled in a weird place in my inbox), but after discovering that my website had disappeared, I searched for anything labeled “WordPress” and found them. I clicked the verify link and received a “congratulations, your email address has been verified” response, but my website is still undiscoverable. How long until it’s reinstated??

If Staff are able to recover the domain for you, they will let you know, but there will be an additional $80 fee imposed by the registrar.

Thanks very much! Just to clarify: even though my domain automatically renewed, because I missed those two emails (the first of which came on the 16th) and didn’t click the “verify email” button fast enough, “if” the staff can recover my domain, I’ll have to pay an additional $80? Wow. Even so, I really appreciate your help!

No, I was wrong about the auto renewal. After another mad search for missing emails, I discovered one from a while back about the domain expiration. If the staff can recover my domain, I’ll happily pay the fee. While I wait, I will fix the crazy bundling of my WordPress.com emails on my end. Thanks again for your help!
