  Hello WordPress team, I am writing today because I am confused! I made a new website with WordPress and had it linked to my domain of mahaleyhallettphotography.com but for some reason it switched back to my old website. I am very confused and very upset at the amount of time I spent creating my website and am unable to figure out how to sign into it! Please help me.

  Hi there!

  To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:

  1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
  2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
  3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

  Since your site is not hosted with us, we’re limited in what we can help with and advise. But I can get you pointed in the right direction to get help.

  It looks like your site is hosted over at Google Domains, so you should reach out to them for help. Since they’re hosting your site, they also have access to your site’s backend and can help you regain access to your site.
