    I am about to point my custom domain name to another server. Will I continue to pay my bill for the domain name to WordPress? … Also, when the time comes can I pay only for the domain name and stop paying for my WordPress site? Thanks.

    Of what domain are you speaking? The account you’re using to post here doesn’t own any domains with us.

    The renewal fee for a domain is always paid to the registrar where the domain is registered. It doesn’t matter where your website’s files are hosted – your hosting and your domain are two completely different and separate things, and it’s very common to use two different companies to provide those two different services to you.

    The only way to stop paying your current registrar for the domain, is if you transfer the domain registration to another registrar. If your new host offers domain registration services as well you can transfer it to them, for example, so you you pay the same company for both your domain and your hosting.
