Domain that I paid you for is not working
-
I registered, and paid for a domain through WordPress.
However, every time I click onto it – even from within my Dashboard, it is not recognized by the server and according to the internet, it does not exist.
This is a host that I paid for through Word Press, trying to register for a domain, paying money to WordPress,
but the domain that I paid for does not work (yet it is listed in my Dashboard as valid for a whole year!!)
It is not recognized by the server.
Who can help me with this? I have tried emailing support many times, I don’t even know if they are receiving my emails, as no confirmation is received indicating the next steps. Thanks. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Nobody can help you with this until you give us the URL of the domain you bought, starting with http, the URL of the blog you’re applying it to, whether or not you have read the other threads on the issue (a few hundred) and how long ago you did the domain mapping.

Your account is only 5 hours old – have you checked your spam filter? Did you just get your domain name an hour ago? Did you both register the domain and map it to something? did you point the name servers at the right place?
Without the domain name you registered and the site you are mapping it to we can’t even guess at what the problem might be –
it can take also 24 to 72 hours for a new domain to migrate across the web.
PS – emailing support every 10 min does not really help either – they have a real good record of helping but it can take more than 20 minutes at times.

@leestrasburger
As raincoaster stated above unless you provided the URL for the wordpress.COM root blog starting with http://and the URL for the new domain starting with http://
in a support ticket, then Staff will not know what you are referring to.
The contact link for Staff is > http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/
As auxclass stated above it takes up to 72 hours for a domain change to propagate throught the interent.

I am having the EXACT same problem with a brand new account. It would be really helpful if something said: “Hi, we acknowledge that you just purchased your domain name and it could take a little while for it to be up and running.”
I wrote three requests for help about 6 hours ago and haven’t gotten any response or acknowledgement.
This is seriously distressing and it feels like there is no help from wordpress. I have a time crunch, and I thought I’d be “blogging within minutes.” Instead I have hours of headache.
It seems like my domain is lost in space. And worse, I ended up with a blog named
exampledotcom.wordpress.com
instead of
example.com
that I paid for. -

You can indeed go right ahead and blog. If you want to fancy the blog up, like with a custom domain name, that takes time.
