Domain transfer

  Hi there. I’m building a website over the nest couple of months that will need to be updated several time a week. I have my domain name with Go Daddy. Can you advise me on whether or not it will be simpler to transfer the domain over and do everything through WordPress, and if so how much that would cost?

  Hi there @sagalynd, you’d be welcome to run your site here on our servers, and either map it (point it here while keeping the registration at GoDaddy) or actually transfer it here so all the billing is in one place. Whichever suits you best.

  All of the paid plans here include domain mapping:

  Each also includes your first year of a domain transfer too, if you go that route. The transfer basically adds a year to your existing registration. You would need to pay for the domain renewal in coming years, though. On our service, that price is currently $18/year for most domains, which includes privacy protection.

  Do note though there are a few types of domains we aren’t able to transfer in yet. Most aren’t any trouble though.
