Domain Transfer

  Hi there,

  I’m looking to transition my firm’s website to a WordPress site. I currently have a WebFlow-based site hosted at another host, and would like to build out the new website at WordPress before transferring the domain so as to have no lapse in site accessibility. What is best practice for this type of transition?

  Hi there!

  You can start creating your site here, at WordPress.com, using a free subdomain (like .wordpress.com). Once you’re ready to go live, you’ll be able to map or transfer your custom domain.

  You’ll need any of the paid plans to be able to use a custom domain. You can read more about our plans here:
