  If I transfer my domain will I be charged again. I just bought it. Will I be charged $18 as a ‘renewal’ when I prompt the transfer?

  Hi there,

  Transferring a domain to WordPress.com requires that you upgrade to a paid plan at My Site ->Plans.

  You get one free transfer as part of the plan, and the transfer will also cause the domain to be renewed for an additional year.
