Domain transfer

  I have several domains with GoDaddy. Currently, some of them do not renew for 2 years. If I want to design a Word Press site and transfer the domain to you for $18/year, does that cost include renewal of the domain? Or will you charge me $18/year now and again for the domain registration fee?

  Hi there,

  As part of the transfer process, every domain that’s transferred gets renewed for an additional year, and you’ll then only need to pay for the domain again the next time the domain renews. In other words, if your domain is currently good for the next two years, you’ll pay $18 now to transfer it, and will then only need to pay to renew it again in three years’ time.

  Also note that you haven’t used the free domain in your plan yet, so the first domain you transfer will not cost anything. You’ll only need to pay for additional domains you transfer after that.
