  Quick question. Am I understanding that to leave my domain where it is I will need to pay that site as well as Word Press, but if I transfer it here, my current agreement will extend by one year? I will renew at $18.00 each year? Is this the cost each year or are there additional fees? Sorry – newbie here trying to learn on the run how to start blogging.

  You are correct, except the renewal price varies depending upon the domain.

  This link lists the current renewal pricing for all TLD’s that you and purchase or transfer to WordPress.com:

  The cost is each year. There are no additional fees for domain renewal.
