  I want to make sure that if I transfer a domain to wordpress that my current wordpress site will not be affected. Additionally is there a way to combine the data from my wordpress site to the domain I am transferring?

  Hi there,

  Transferring the domain will not delete the existing content of your WordPress.com. It will give you the option to set your custom domain as your primary domain of the site. You can read about here: https://wordpress.com/support/move-domain/incoming-domain-transfer/

  About combining the data, you will need to move your old site content to your WordPress.com site manually, you can follow the steps mentioned here for it: https://wordpress.com/support/moving-from-self-hosted-wordpress-to-wordpress-com/
