Domain transfer

  We just got a domain from squarespace but decided we wanted to use wordpress. we never built a site yet just have a domain. How do we get our domain to wordpress and start making a site. We cant transfer domain because it says the domain is too new and can be done in june 25th. is there a way to get started ?

  Hi there,

  Create a new site at https://wordpress.com/start/site/

  On the domains step, select the option to use a domain you already own, and then select the domain mapping option.

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  This will allow you to connect the domain to your site while it stays registered with Squarespace. Note this will require that you upgrade to a paid plan.

  Once your domain becomes eligible for transfer, when you’ve owned it for at least 60 days, you’ll be able to then transfer it to us at no additional cost.
