domain transfer

  Hi! I need help. I would like to transfer my domain to a new host. I found the information that I can do it in settings ‘general tab’. Unfortunately I don’t have any site addresses which I could change. Where can I find it? At this moment I have free plan if I should change it for example on ‘personal’ to see this option?

  Hi there,

  What is the domain you want to transfer? The account you’re using to post here doesn’t own any domains with us, only a free WordPress.com site, http://beforeankadies.wordpress.com

  If you’re speaking of that free address, you can’t transfer that to another host, as it’s not a domain, just a subdomain of the WordPress.com domain which we own. That free address can only be used on WordPress.com.

  Thanks for your answer. So aren’t there any reasons to transfer website traffic from free address to the another domain? Even if I would buy the
  paid version for example ‘personal’ or ‘premium’?

  If you upgrade to any of our paid plans then you’ll be able to register a custom domain and use that for your site instead of the free .wordpress.com. You can read more here:
