Domain transfer

  I need to cancel a domain transfer made earlier today. The transfer went through very quickly. The cancel button was not available when I came back to the site. Is there a time limit to cancelling a transfer? I need the domain to be back to the original register. Thanks for your help.

  Hi there,

  I do not see any recent purchases under your account when I look on our end. You can confirm here that this account has no purchase history by checking here: https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing/

  Is it possible you created your site under a different login?  What is the URL of the domain you are trying to cancel the transfer for?

  Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

  Correct. There are no purchases. The transfer is in process, but domain is green under manage domains in the settings. I could not cancel this transfer while it is still pending. The url is http://sofish.org

  Hi there,

  I see no pending transfer for sofish.org on our end. That domain is currently registered with ionos.com

  Correct. There are no purchases

  Then you haven’t tried to transfer this domain to us. It is completely impossible to start a domain transfer to WordPress.com without first buying a paid plan from us.

  Please contact Ionos directly for help with this, as they’re the ones that control the domain at the moment.
