Wondering if I could get information to give to the company I set up a domain with. When I try to transfer my domain name on wordpress it says that it cannot be completed as there is a 60-day hold. Wondering what information I’ll need to get this changed.

I just set up my website and I did mapping. Don’t forget to update your domain’s servers. This page goes over the process step by step.

What is the domain you are trying to transfer? Can you tell us the URL?
It is not possible to transfer a domain name to a new registrar within the first 60 days after initial registration, or the first 60 days after a transfer. It sounds like that may be the case here. Is this a new domain?
To clarify, the “60 day lock” is a requirement set by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and is observed by all ICANN-accredited registrars.

The good news is that you an still use our “domain mapping” option to connect a domain you own with another provider, so you can actually use that as the address of your WordPress.com site, even if you can’t transfer it at this time.
