Domain transfer

    Hi I have started a site here on WordPress, I need to transfer my domain from GoDaddy and am told that I need to ask for main domain records and IP address.

    Just to be sure, do you want to transfer the domain or do you want to map it? Transferring means you’ll be managing the domain from here at WordPress.com. Mapping means that the domain stays with GoDaddy and you’ll just be pointing it to your WordPress site here.

    The reason I ask is that you’re looking for an IP address, which sounds like you want to map the domain instead.
