domain transfer

    I am trying to transfer my domain ericlager.com but I’m having some trouble. When I login to my WordPress account and go on my dashboard I do not see where I can begin the steps to initiate this process. I do not see a tab for ‘Upgrades’ and ‘Domains’ and ‘Transfer your domain.’ I know that I own ericlager.com but when I click on ‘My Site’ it says that I do not yet have a site. How can I go about getting this domain transferred, find the Transfer Lock tab and then get the authorization code? Your help is much appreciated.

    Hi there! Generally when you transfer a domain to WordPress.com, you’d need a site to transfer it to, on your WordPress.com account.

    Just to check, are you intending on bringing content over to WordPress.com as well? If so then it’s worth setting up a site, importing the content first and getting it set up here, and then transferring the domain after that!
