Domain transfer

  If my domain is set to expire in less than a week, is it safe to transfer it to WordPress from Bluehost? I don’t want it to expire during the transfer process. I’m seriously thinking of getting a WordPress plan with the transfer. Thanks.

  I guess what I’m trying to find out is, since my domain expires on Jan. 26th, is whether I should renew my domain at Bluehost first before starting the transfer. Or will I be okay with renewing it during the transfer since I’m required to do that anyway.
