Domain Transfer

  Hi: I need to transfer a domain, but it appears to take 5 days. I think it would be easier to connect to the domain (hosted via Squarespace provider). I accidentally started with ‘I want to domain transfer’ as opposed to ‘connect to an existing domain’ and when I canceled the transfer request, I no longer can see ‘connect to an existing domain as an option.

  Please assist. Also confirming that the domain is unlocked and EPP code exists.

  Hi there,

  I can confirm that you have successfully initiated the connection process for your domain, modali.co. To complete the process and have your domain point to your WordPress.com site, please update the domain’s name servers through Squarespace’s domain control panel. The name servers you should use are the following:

  • ns1.wordpress.com
  • ns2.wordpress.com
  • ns3.wordpress.com

  Once you have updated the name servers, it may take up to 72 hours for the changes to fully propagate and for your domain to point to your WordPress.com site.

  However, if you decide that you would rather transfer the domain instead of connecting it, let us know, and we can help you cancel the current connection and guide you through the domain transfer process.
