Domain Transfer

  Hi… I just wanted to know how long will it take for my domain to be transferred to another registrar.

  I initiated it from the other registrar but I haven’t got an email from wordpress stating ‘pending transfers’ and my domain manager at wordpress does not show anything under the ‘pending transfers’ tab. Everything else happened instantly, so I’m wondering if I did something wrong or if I have to wait for the transfer process?

  Did you just recently register the domain with WordPress.com? If so, by ICANN rules, the domain cannot be transferred to another domain registrar for a period of 60 days. Please see this support doc. http://en.support.wordpress.com/domain-mapping/domain-management/#transfer-to-another-registrar

  If this is not the issue, please give us more information.
