    My domain transfer to Godaddy will not work despite the fact that I have unlocked it. Please help!

    Hi Janice, Could you tell me at what point in the process you’re getting stuck? Have you received your transfer code and provided it to GoDaddy? Are you receiving an error message from either GoDaddy or WordPress.com?

    I have received and entered my transfer code from WordPress. When I enter the code into godaddy the transfer gets declined after about 10 minutes. I called to get the reason and it says the domain is blocked by WordPress, even though I have unlocked it.

    So the thing I need help with is the unlocking of the domain address (www.janicetran.com) additional to checking the box or if I need to do something else to transfer the address outside of getting the transfer code.

    Hi there Janice! Thanks for the explanation.

    I have unlocked your domain, janicetran.com/ .

    An email has been sent to the Domain Registrant’s contact email address containing the Domain Transfer Code. If you don’t receive the email shortly, please check your spam folder.

    You can provide GoDaddy with your EPP code and initiate the transfer.

    Once you initiate the transfer process, there is a waiting period of five days. During this period, you will receive an email with a link to confirm or cancel the transfer. To complete the transfer, make sure you confirm it by clicking the confirmation link. Once you confirm, the domain will be automatically transferred after five days.

    You can also bypass the five-day waiting period by going to Store → My Domains and clicking Edit Domain once again. From the domain manager, select the Transfer Domain tab, then click Accept Transfer. This will initiate the transfer immediately.

    Okay thanks. I just tried your steps and I don’t see the option to “accept transfer” to immediately transfer the domain.
