Domain Transfer

I transferred a domain to Godaddy but it is still showing as active in wordpress. I follow all the required steps. What am I missing?

Hi there,
Are you talking about bodnarteamrealtors.com? It looks like that has been fully transferred over to GoDaddy.com. The mapping is still in your account however in case you still wanted to point your domain at WordPress.com.
If you have no interest in doing so, I can remove that for you.

Hello! Thank you so much for your response. Yes, I am talking about bodnarteamrealtors.com. I do/will not want to point that domain at wordpress.com. Will you please remove it? Please excuse my ignorance…. but when I type in http://www.bodnarteamrealtors.com it still points to the wordpress blog. The transfer is showing as complete with on godaddy’s end and I have already set up forwarding to the page I want it to go to. Any insight for me?

Nothing to excuse! Everyone is new some time! What you’re experiencing right now is something called browser caching. Since you have already viewed your site so many times when it was hosted at WordPress.com, your browser (which is programmed to be lazy to save time and bandwidth), thinks that it just needs to keep pulling up information from the same place.
You can usually force it to pull up-to-date information by clearing its cache by following these instructions:
However sometimes that doesn’t work. In those cases you can try another browser. It’s also important to note that ISPs can be lazy too (for the same reason), and so you sometimes even have to call them and ask for their DNS cache to be cleared.
But in this case you should be just fine. You should just need to clear your cache and you’ll be good to go! :)
Oh, and I removed that mapping for you too. Let me know if you need anything else!
