Domain transfer

  We have a domain name that we would like to transfer. We are thinking about upgrading to the $99/yr package. Will that domain name now be hosted by WordPress and included in the $99/yr price. Lavona

  If you already own the domain name – you can’t transfer the domain registration to WordPress.COM – they are not set up to accept incoming transfers

  You can however map the name to a blog here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  The $ 99.- / yr package includes domain registration & domain mapping for one domain name – you would not use the domain registration part

  When looking at a package – add up the individual parts you really want and make sure you save money over buying individual parts
