  I need help transferring my domain name.

  It was a wordpress.com domain and I wanted to use it for my wordpress.org site. So I transferred the domain to my bluehost account and then set it to the “primary” domain.

  I also updated it in my wordpress account, but now it still doesn’t show it in the address bar.

  I’m a rookie and I know I’m missing something important because wordpress has always been good to me.

  Greetings Kristin,

  Right now, your domain – kristinjfoss.com is pointing to your blog – http://www.vineofplenty.com/ . This means, when someone visits the domain, kristinjfoss.com, (s)he is pointed to your WordPress.org blog hosted in Bluehost – Vine of Plenty.

  The reason why kristinjfoss.com doesn’t show in your address bar is because it is only pointing to the WordPress.org blog – which has a primary domain, vineofplenty.com.

  Unfortunately, this forum is for WordPress.com users – and I guess you should check out the WordPress.org forum, if you want to change the domain of your blog.

  Here’s a detailed article about how to change your blog’s URL, in the WordPress.org forum.

  That said, personally, I wouldn’t recommend you to change your blog’s URL from the current one, cause as I can see, your blog is pretty popular in Google and it might affect your search engine rankings (due to broken links) if you change the domain name altogether. Anyway, if someone were to visit kristinjfoss.com, (s)he would be led to vineofplenty.com for sure. :)
