domain transfer
-
I am trying to assign this domain to bluehost and this is the error I keep receiving:
Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver.
The domain has been unlocked, I have received the verification email and still I can’t transfer. What else needs to be done?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Has 72 hours elapsed since the domain was unlocked?

@tashalharrison, domain transfers can take a few days.
It’s best to point the domain to a new host first by changing name servers, then transfer after that, if possible.

Ah – in fact since the transfer isn’t fully initiated yet, let’s go ahead and change those now while we still can. You can be locked out of those settings once the transfer is in full swing.
If your site is ready to be set up at Bluehost, go here:
https://wordpress.com/my-domainsClick edit
And use these name servers instead of ours:
ns1.bluehost.com
ns2.bluehost.comJust know you may not be able to change those when the transfer is in progress. Cheers!
