Domain Transfer

  Hi,

  I used to own a website on Squarespace but i have terminated it and would like to transfer my domain name over to wordpress. I have the transfer key from Squarespace and have also purchased the domain mapping option on wordpress. How do I complete this transfer of my domain name?

  Hi,

  We do not support incoming domain transfers. The only way to use a domain that’s already registered elsewhere is to keep it registered with your current registrar and add the WordPress.com nameservers to it so that it points to WordPress.com.

  I can see you’ve already mapped a domain, you just need to add the WordPress.com nameservers to your domain and it’ll be pointing to WordPress.com.

  Notably, your domain needs to be registered with squarespace (or any other domain registrar of your choice) for it to work. You cannot transfer the domain registration to WordPress.com.
