domain transfer

  I have difficulties to move my domain to a self hosted site. Sideground requested to point the name server to them what I changed already but still can not move my domain. What could be the problem? Already tried also with the A record and it seems this is done and point to sideground but still can not move somehow, please help

  Hi,

  Just pointing your domain’s nameservers to Siteground will do the job. That way, you can keep renewing your domain from WordPress.com, while your self hosted WordPress.org site will work on Siteground.

  If you’d still move your domain completely to Siteground, you can find the instructions here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/move-domain/#transfer-domain-registration-to-another-registrar

  Note that transferring is only possible if your domain is older than 6 months. This is standard domain registration policy to prevent abuse.
