I want to transfer my domain it says its locked but when I login to WordPress I am not able to see my domain

Hello there,
If you need to transfer your domain from WordPress.com to elsewhere you may need to unlock your domain.
From your Dashboard, go to Store>Domains, then select the domain you want to transfer. Click on the last option ‘Transfer Domain’, and on the new page click the blue button ‘Update Settings and Continue’.
You will then receive a confirmation email with all the details to unlock your domain.

I purchased my domain madebylakshmi.com on feb 19th 2014 and I received a renewal notice from wordpress on jan 20th . But when I check on my domain list the domain madebylakshmi.com itself is not displaying. Hence I am unable to transfer it .Kindly guide me

It appears that madebylakshmi.com is connected to a website built on WordPress.ORG, while you’re probably looking at the dashboard of your WordPress.COM website (https://madebylakshmi.wordpress.com)
The two WordPress are different, so that would be the reason why you can’t see your domain details.
Your madebylakshmi.com website appears to be hosted by Bluehost. You should check on your Bluehost admin panel to check your domain details and steps for transfer the domain.

Hi I have registered my domain in wordpress.com till feb19th I even get renewal notice from wordpress.com
When I login to bluehost dashboard and request domain transfer
I get the following

I’m tagging it for Staff attention as I can’t understand why your domain results registered at WordPress.com to you whereas MADEBYLAKSHMI.COM is powered by WordPress.org.
I honestly must be missing some detail the Staff will be able to provide assistance for.

Thank you for helping out here @stefaniamattana! :) Although madebylakshmi.com is registered through WordPress.com, it is still possible to update a domain’s settings so that it points to another host.
@madebylakshmi : The domain had been removed from your account as our system detected that it was not being used with WordPress.com and was set to expire soon. I’m sorry for the trouble that caused! I have now restored the domain to your account and, also, emailed a transfer authorisation code to you.
