Are you trying to transfer the entire domain registration or just get the domain working with Squarespace?
If you’re trying to transfer the entire registration can you double check that you followed all the steps in this outline? If you’re just trying to get the domain working with Squarespace you’ll want to follow this outline.

Hello, I’ve been asked to help with this issue.
whitewaterwraps.com no longer shows up in the mydomain list for Kyle’s account (whitewaterRaps.com does, but this is not the name we need to re-map/transfer).
Under purchases I can find the receipt for the domain name …wraps.com on 3/19/16:
Order Summary
DESCRIPTION AMOUNT
Total: $xx
Domain registration(new purchase)
whitewaterwraps.com
$xx
Domain mapping(new purchase)
whitewaterwraps.com
$xxKyle may have selected the nuclear option for this website (delete content and domain name).
At this time I cannot follow the steps for re-mapping to SquareSpace as the …wraps url does not show up to be managed.
Please let me know what options we have for having whitewaterWraps.com remapped to SquareSpace. If that is not possible, what steps are needed for transfer.
Thanks,

Hi there,
Please let me know what options we have for having whitewaterWraps.com remapped to SquareSpace. If that is not possible, what steps are needed for transfer.
You can point your domain to Squarespace. You’ll need to link the domain at the Squarespace end and copy the A-records over to WordPress.com.
At WordPress.com you can add the A-records by editing the DNS Settings here:
https://wordpress.com/domains/manage/whitewaterwraps.com/edit/whitewaterwraps.com
Click Name Servers & DNS > DNS Records > Add New DNS Records.
Squarespace have this online support guide which runs through the steps at both sites:
Let me know if you need a hand.

Thanks for the feedback. The remapping procedure that you posted did not work which is why this thread was started. The URL was missing from the list of domains that can be edited.
Spencer was able to get the URL back in the list for us. However, going thru the link you sent for adding New DNS records also doesn’t work for adding A records. (needs a subdomain, but SquareSpace only provided the “@”).
If I go thru wordpress.com/my-domains, logged in under an id only authorized to admin this URL, then I can get to the right dialogs as shown in the procedure, and it pretends to let me add/change the A records, but then when I try to save changes it gives me an error (“An error occured while trying to process your request. Please try again or Contact Support if you continue to have trouble.”), which is where I am at right now.
Here is where I need a hand, please:
Is the error during save because:- I am using an Admin account, not the original one (original one does not allow edit the DNS),
- is it because there is still something wrong with the URL,
- or is it something wrong the procedure

Hi @mindisalas, you will need to be logged in as the domain owner to make major changes to the domain.
Those steps should work at that point, but if they do not, get in touch with us as the upgrade owner. If needed, we can make the changes for you. The request would just need to come from the upgrade owner, too.

Thank you so much!
Please add the following A records to whitewaterwraps.com:
Host – RecordType – Required Data
@ A 198.185.159.144
@ A 198.185.159.145
@ A 198.49.23.144

Also — just to clarify — this does not transfer the domain. It points it to Squarespace while keeping us as the registrar and DNS provider. If you’d like to use another domain provider you (as the owner) can use these steps:
