  Can I transfer my current domain from Wix over to here at WordPress? Will it cost me anything? Please let me know.

  So basically it is not possible to connect a Wix domain to an external site. I would recommend transferring the domain to a registrar such as enom or 1and1. You may also want to look into purchasing a hosting plan with a reputable hosting company as most of them will give you a free domain transfer.

  Once you transfer the domain and you want to use it with your WordPress.com blog, follow the instructions for mapping an existing domain.

  You may also want to look into purchasing a hosting plan with a reputable hosting company as most of them will give you a free domain transfer.

  If you want to connect your domain to a WordPress.com site there is no need to buy hosting from anyone. You’ll be paying for something you don’t need if you do that.

  If you connect your domain to a WordPress.com site we provide your hosting for you. All you need is to have your domain at a registrar who allows you to map it to a different hosting provider by changing the name servers or IP addresses.
