Domain transfer

Hi all, I recently purchased a business plan and subsequently cancelled due to not being able to install my own wordpress theme. Unfortunately, the domain name was not refunded and I assume it still remains on my account. I would like to transfer the domain name to another hosting provider – can anyone help me with what steps I need to take to complete this?

Hi there,
Cancelled domains don’t become available again immediately, and cancelled domains cannot be transferred as you stopped owning it the moment you cancelled it.
As you cancelled only a day after buying it, the domain should be released by early next week, at which time you should be able to re-register it somewhere else. Keep in mind, though, that the moment it’s released anyone will be able to buy it. If you want to wait for it to be released, please reply here to confirm and I’ll issue the refund.
Alternatively, I can try to restore the domain to your account. Then you can point it to a different hosting provider from here, and once you’ve owned it for 60 days you can transfer it out completely.
