How do I get the lock released from my domain. I registered it in 2020 but somehow cannot complete a transfer to Namecheap because it’s locked with another registrar. Please unlock it.
I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

Hey there, it looks like you cancelled it nearly a month ago. Cancelling actually sends it back to the registrar and puts it through a redemption process that can be long and costly:
https://wordpress.com/support/domains/domain-expiration/If you’re interested, we can generate an invoice for the redemption fee. Once that’s done, we can help you get the domain back to your account, then you can update it to point to another host and transfer it to Namecheap.
Please let us know. The redemption fee is $80. And the redemption period (how long you have to wait) can vary, but typically I’ve seen around 80 days. It’s also possible someone will buy your domain at a markup in the meantime, so you’ll want to be mindful and decide accordingly.
