Domain transfer

  Hi, I bought my domain through Wix. I recently cancelled with them but wanted to keep my custom domain. However, they are refunding my whole amount and now it says I cannot transfer the domain until 60 days has passed. Is there anyway WordPress can expedite this?

  Hi there,

  I don’t think this is possible by WordPress.com

  Here is what I got from this support document: https://en.support.wordpress.com/move-domain/transfer-domain-registration/

  Note: It is only possible to transfer a domain 60 days after the registration date. This 60 day lock is required by the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) and cannot be waived. More info here.

  Also note that WordPress.com does not accept incoming domain transfers. But you can map an existing domain to a WordPress.com site if you have an upgraded plan: https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
