Domain Transfer

It has been 5 days since I initiated a domain transfer but I am yet to receive an email. When will this transfer take place?

Hey there,
Were you attempting to transfer your domain to WordPress.com or from WordPress to another registrar (Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc)?
Also keep in mind that domains that were just registered cannot be transferred until after 60 days. Did you recently set up the domain?
If this isn’t the case, I’ll tag it for a staff member to come have a look!

I am trying to transfer a domain registered on WordPress to SquareSpace.
The domain was registered on 15th Feb 2016.
Please help!

Am I supposed to change the name servers before initiating the transfer?
I did not change the name servers. How should I proceed now?

Hey there. I wouldn’t worry about the nameservers right now. Let’s sit tight and wait for a staff member to check on the status of the transfer.
In the meanwhile, you mentioned never receiving an email when you initiated the transfer. Let’s make sure you have the correct email on file. You can follow these steps here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/update-contact-information/
If it turns out the wrong email address was on file, that may be why you never received the authorization code.

I have already received the email with the authorisation info. And it has been updated on SquareSpace but the transfer from WordPress is still pending.
“designbyblueprint.com is pending transfer. You must wait for the transfer to finish, and then update the settings at the new registrar.”
