Domain transfer

    Hello,

    I was chatting to a Happiness Engineer last night about re-setting up a domain that had lapsed. She said she was going to forward my request to someone who could action the request, as I was happy to pay the $80.

    Just wondering, should I wait to be contacted? Or is it already in process? (I can’t see where the conversation has gone, and so I just wanted to check that it wasn’t that I had been contacted and had missed it.)

    Hi Andy,

    I’d suggest you to wait for sometime. Meanwhile, check your emails if you have received any from Happiness Engineer. Also, check the spam folder.
    As per my knowledge they will send you a email containing a payment link where you can make your 80$ payment.

    If you don’t hear from them after a long while then add modlook tag in sidebar of this thread to get staff’s attention.

    I don’t see any live chats in your support history. It looks like you chatted with one of our community experts instead – they don’t work for us and aren’t actually Happiness Engineers :)

    I see my colleague already replied to you via email, but you started this thread after she replied to you so maybe you didn’t receive our email.

    I also see the email address you indicated there is different from the one on your WordPress.com account. We can only send a manual payment link to recover the domain to the email address on your account, so please check that the address in your account settings is correct, and update it if not:

    Please let me know once you have done that, and I can get the process started for you.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I think there was some confusion with the email addresses!

    I can confirm that the one currently verified with the account (r**@p********d.com) is the right one.

    If you could resend the request to that email address, it would be much appreciated.

  • Thank you for confirming the email. The forums will automatically hide the email from public view if you type it on its own line, by the way :)

    I’ve sent you a payment link via email for the redemption fee. I’ll be notified when we receive your payment, and then I can contact our registrar to restore the domain.

  • We’ve received your payment, thank you. I’ve emailed our registrar to restore your domain. I’ll let you know as soon as I hear back from them.

  • Our registrar has restored your domain and I’ve reactivated it on your account. It is now showing your site again.
