I created a site and the transfer is pending. I need to pay for this, but WordPress says I have no site created.

Your must register an underlying .wordpress.com site to be able to map a domain to it. Have you done that yet?
To sign up for your first WordPress.com site, simply fill out the signup form.

I set up the site and WP recognizes my email that I included. Then I set up the transfer, which is in progress.

I do see that the domain piaffedesign.com is pending an outgoing transfer which needs to be accepted at the incoming register or via email.
Could you let us know the desired action for the domain?
If you’d like to restore the domain to your account please post from the WordPress.com account which owns the domain and we’ll see what we can do.

I transferred the domain piaffedesign.com from GoDaddy to WordPress. It has been successfully transferred and assigned to a WP account. I just need the WP account to assign it to! I log in and it says I don’t have a site, then I can’t create one.
I originally set up the WP account up to the point where it asks, Do you already have a domain? And then I went thru the transfer, now I can’t get into the WordPress account it was transferred to!
It says my profile address is @piaffedesign111483887, which I did not set up.<modlook>

There seem to be two WordPress.com accounts, one under the address
piaffedesign111483887which you are posting here from and a secondpiaffedesignwhich owns the domain name.The domain will need to be managed from
piaffedesign. If you are the owner of that account sign out of WordPress.com (from https://WordPress.com/me) then log back in aspiaffedesign. Once logged in as the correct user you’ll be able to manage the domain. -
THANK YOU! that seems to have worked, it is transferring the domain name to the correct account from whatever it had attached to previously.
