domain transfer
-
I am trying to transfer my domain from WP and it is currently locked. I have researched how to do this but I cannot find the domain administration. I go to “store” then “domain” but when I get there, there is no domain admin. It also says to cancel the private registration and when I go to upgrade there it says that there is no current subscriptions. Since we are not able to achieve either of these steps we are not able to ‘unlock it’ and get the Epp authorization code.
I can not follow anything else in this http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/transfer-domain-registration/ because I can not proceed with unlocking it.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There are no domain registrations under your account.
You’ll need to be logged in as the user who owns the domain in order to transfer it.

I don’t know what that means that there are no domain registrations under my account. Who is it registered with, if not with me?? ( I have read and re-read that ‘transfer-domain’ article several times to no avail)
I am the only person associated with this account…
is there a way I could talk on the phone with someone, I have been stuck at this place for several days and would love to proceed!! Thanks!

amindfulparent.wordpress.com is your WordPress.com blog URL, it’s not a registered domain, so it can’t be transferred.

oh. thats a total surprise to me, I didn’t know the difference between registered domains, and just blog URL’s. So since its not a registered domain can I ‘point’ it to my new bluehost domain?? If not, what does that mean for the traffic that I have now with this WP.com blog?? Would I just have to give the new URL/domain through blue host out to my followers and forget about the amindfulparent.wordpress.com URL ?

You can purchase a Site Redirect upgrade: http://en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/

Perfect! That’s the missing piece to this confusing puzzle!!! Thank you so much for getting to the bottom of it!!
