  All I want to do is bring my domain from godaddy to wordpress. Your making it a big deal by wanting me to pay $96.00 for a plan. So disappointed in wordpress.com. My whole reason is to get away from godaddy getting in my pocket all the time.
  Now I see its going to be the same way here.

  Hi there,

  The cost you are seeing must be of Premium Plan. You can upgrade to Personal Plan which costs $48, but will have to compromise for Premium Themes, CSS customization, extra storage, etc.

  Once you upgrade to Personal Plan, then you can transfer your domain from GoDaddy. You can anytime upgrade from Personal to Premium Plan by just paying difference.
