Domain transfer

  I want to transfer the domain name I own to WordPress because it currently costs me £30 for two years to own the name and £10 per month to maintain my website. I only need the £3 per month package therefore a saving of £7 per month and the £30 but are there any hidden costs to doing this when transferring to WordPress?

  Hi theartistdavewhite,

  The domain credit included in paid plans covers the cost of transferring an existing domain to WordPress.com. As part of the process, we also renew the domain for another year automatically, once the transfer to WordPress.com has been successful:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/

  After the first year, your domain will renew at the regular price (not using a domain credit).
