  Hi! I just purchased my domain through GoDaddy and I want to transfer it to wordpress but I cannot until May 21. Is there a way I can begin my blog without this transfer?

  Domains can be mapped to WordPress.com until they are ready for transfer:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/

  The account you are contacting us from hasn’t created any WordPress.com sites yet. Are you planning to create a new site? Or is there an existing site you are trying to connect the domain to? The upgrade I linked to above only applies to sites hosted on WordPress.com.
